Why there are ads
Zeromits is free to use: zero payment commitment. Advertising from Google AdSense pays for hosting and development, so every tool can stay free. Because the ads are what keep the tools free, they cannot be switched off. What you can choose is whether they are personalised. Ads are clearly labelled "Advertisement".
Where ads appear, and where they never do
- Ads appear beside editorial content: on the home page between sections, on guide and article pages, and below a tool.
- Ads never appear inside a tool's working area, in pop-ups or dialogs, beside results, or on the contact, policy and category pages.
- We do not use pop-unders, interstitials, sticky overlays or ads that cover content. Ads do not run while a tool is in a full-screen presentation mode.
Our promises
- We will never ask or encourage you to click on ads, and we never offer any reward for doing so. Click only if an ad is genuinely useful to you.
- We keep ads separate from content so they are not mistaken for it.
- Ad revenue does not influence what a tool does or produces. Tools run in your browser, independent of advertising.
How Google uses data for ads
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technology to serve ads. Ads on this site may be personalised, which can include ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires consent, Google asks for it first and otherwise shows non-personalised ads, which rely on the page content and general location instead of your past behaviour, though cookies may still be used for frequency capping and measurement. Learn more in Google's advertising policies.
Your choices
- Opt out of personalised ads with Google at adssettings.google.com or via aboutads.info/choices.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, ads are shown only in line with the consent choices described here and in the cookie policy. Google shows its own message there, and reopens it.
Third-party advertisers
We do not control the ads that appear and are not responsible for advertisers' products, claims or sites. Appearance of an ad is not an endorsement. If you see an ad that seems inappropriate, tell us and we will report it to Google.
Compensation
We earn revenue when ads are viewed or interacted with. We do not run affiliate links or sponsored posts on this site.
