What we mean by cookies
This site mainly uses your browser's local storage rather than traditional cookies. This policy covers both, plus similar technologies such as cached files.
Stored by this site (first party)

picker.settings.v2 | Your draw settings: timing, sound, colours and layout choices (Random Name Picker) | Until you clear site data |
picker.session.v2 | Your list and winners so a refresh does not lose them (only if Remember my list is on) (Random Name Picker) | Until you clear it or turn the option off |
picker.attrs | Look settings read before the page paints to avoid a colour flash (Random Name Picker) | Until you clear site data |
picker.vars | Custom colour values read before the page paints (Random Name Picker) | Until you clear site data |

These are essential or functionality items you trigger by using the site. None is sent to us.
Set by third parties
| Provider | Purpose | When |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdSense | Serving, limiting and measuring ads; personalising them unless you opt out (and only with your consent where the law requires it) | On pages that show ads |
| Google Fonts | Delivering the site's typefaces | On every page. Google receives your IP address |
| cdnjs.cloudflare.com (SheetJS, loaded only when you import or export an Excel file) | Needed by a tool feature (Random Name Picker) | Only when you use that feature |
| fonts.googleapis.com (only when you choose a custom typeface) | Needed by a tool feature (Random Name Picker) | Only when you use that feature |
Managing your choices
- Use to reopen Google's privacy message where it applies to you (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland). Ads cannot be switched off, because they keep the tools free.
- Control personalised advertising with Google at adssettings.google.com, or via aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com.
- Delete or block storage in your browser's privacy settings. Blocking local storage means your settings and any saved work will not persist.
- Learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Changes
If we add new storage or services we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first. Questions: [email protected].
